Why I'm building Collectiva
I'm a software engineer. I'm building Collectiva as infrastructure for Greek NGOs — because the biggest loss in the giving space isn't lack of goodwill, it's the commissions, opacity, and technical gaps that eat euros that should reach where they're needed.
The average Greek donor gives once a year, receives a thank-you email, and then nothing. The organization that received the donation can't predict its work next month, let alone next year.
Collectiva closes that gap with engineering: donors set a monthly amount and pick a basket of organizations. We split it with full transparency. The organization sees predictable income; the donor sees exactly where each euro goes.
We keep 0%. Only bank processing fees (~2.9% + €0.25) go elsewhere. The entire architecture is built with that as a non-negotiable: the platform doesn't profit from your donation.
We don’t have an ΑΜΚΕ (Greek nonprofit legal entity) yet — we’re setting it up once the first 3-5 pilot partnerships sign. The 6 organizations you see on Discover are demos — they show what the platform will look like. No donor is being charged yet.

We are currently in pilot with the first Greek organizations. Official launch: summer 2026.
