Why charge nothing?
Donor money should reach the work, not pay platform overhead. We are not a fundraising marketplace — we are infrastructure for transparent recurring giving in Greece.
Then how do you sustain yourselves?
Collectiva is in pilot phase, currently funded by the founder. Long-term we plan to operate via voluntary tips from donors and a separate paid tier for organizations that want advanced reporting tools — never via a percentage cut on donations.
What about the credit card fee?
Stripe charges roughly 2.9% + €0.25 per European card transaction. That fee goes to Stripe, not to us. We have no control over it; you can verify it on Stripe's public pricing page.
How can I verify any of this?
Every donation generates a receipt showing the exact split. Organizations are paid via Stripe Connect, which means transfers are visible in their Stripe dashboards. Our books will be open once we exit pilot.
